Goods and Services Auction
Bring a date, your friends, your pets and by all means bring your wallet!!-It's time for the Annual Goods and Services Auction. Please plan to come on Saturday, April 26th!
The festivities begin at:
5:30-6:30 Dinner prepared by Barbara Kelley (in a former life, Barbara worked as a chef) The cost is for the dinner and dessert following is $15 per adult and $7 per child (12 and under) By reservation only, limit for dinner is 30 people Please contact Ruth at 747-0732 to make reservations.
6:30Dessert and Coffee. Even if you can't come for dinner, make sure you come in time to enjoy dessert prepared by Barbara. $2 will be charged for each dessert.

Lifespan Religious Education
Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth-Viewing and Discussion Group. Tuesday Nights starting February 19th to March 25th, 7:00-8:30 PM Join us for an exhilarating journey into the mind and spirit of a remarkable man, a legendary teacher, and a masterful storyteller, Joseph Campbell.
We will view the complete six hour segments of the PBS series Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth with Bill Moyers. We will discuss this powerful journey into the universal search for the experience of life. Facilitated by Tim Abraham
Religious Education Grant
The Religious Education (RE) Committee has received a $100 grant from the Eugene Bowen Fund. This fund is from the UUA in Boston which "provides annual $100 grants to twelve historically Universalist congregations for religious education program use, such as purchasing curricula or equipment." Our RE committee is applying this money to help to pay for copies of the RE curricula so each of our wonderful teachers can have access to their own copy. These have already been purchased and distributed. So, many thanks to the UUA for letting us have this grant, and many thanks to our teachers who are putting them to good use.

Printed Newsletter: If you are interested in learning more about the UU Church of Rutland, you can get our monthly newsletter, containing information about upcoming events as well as articles by the minister and members. Come to UU Church of Rutland on Sunday morning, or e-mail the church to ask to receive the newsletter.
To submit information for publication put it in the Newsletter box at the church. The deadline is always the 25th of the month.
Upcoming Social Justice Events
A word from and about Social Justice:
~ Keep your eyes open for an upcoming speaker from the UUSC regarding ending torture;
~ A fundraiser designed to help some of the world's poorest people get out of poverty;
~ An educational program designed to prepare us for GA; and a workshop on mediation as a tool of peacemaking.
(Special Note) If there is a person willing to help me and the social justice organization organize a benefit for a small scale project designed to train and help move some of the world's poorest people in Nicaragua presently living at the Managua dump, please contact Steve Wilson.
